Poprad and its surroundings are an ideal starting point for all kinds of cycling trips —from leisurely family routes to challenging mountain climbs with views of the High Tatras’ peaks.
Thanks to a dense network of bike trails, there’s something for everyone—whether you’re looking for a quiet ride through the woods, an adrenaline rush in the mountains, or a leisurely bike ride along the river. Most routes are easily accessible directly from our apartments, so you can set out on a trip right after breakfast.

The route begins at Beňovský Apartments in historic Spišská Sobota and follows a comfortable asphalt bike path along the Poprad River all the way to the town of Svit. This easy route is ideal for recreational cycling, offering beautiful views of the High Tatras, rest areas, and places to grab a bite to eat. You’ll then return to Spišská Sobota via the same route.

The route begins at Beňovský Apartments and follows paved bike paths through residential areas and fields to Kvetnica Forest Park. Along the way, you’ll pass a flooded quarry and rest areas with benches. From Kvetnica, you can continue on foot to Zámčisko (921 m above sea level) for stunning views of the High Tatras, Low Tatras, and Slovak Paradise, or visit the Chapel of the Resurrection via an educational trail. This is a pleasant trip suitable for both nature lovers and cyclists.

The route begins at Beňovský Apartments in historic Spišská Sobota and follows a bike path along the Poprad River toward Svit. Passing through Spišská Teplica, it continues uphill through the forest to Lopušná Dolina (Valley). The return route follows a well-maintained asphalt surface through Svit along the Poprad River. Along the entire route, you’ll find rest areas, refreshments, and information signs, making it ideal for a pleasant all-day bike trip.

The route begins at Beňovský Apartments and follows the Poprad River through Svit, Batizovce, and Štôla to Štrbské Pleso. The entire route follows paved roads and gradually ascends, offering several opportunities for refreshments and rest stops. From Štrbské Pleso, it continues along Freedom Road to Starý Smokovec, where we recommend a stop at the Smokovec Springs. The return trip features a pleasant descent through Horný Smokovec, Nová Lesná, and Veľký Slavkov back to the historic town of Spišská Sobota along the Water tower.

The route begins at Beňovský Apartments and leads through Stráže pod Tatrami along dirt and gravel roads to Žakovce and Vrbov, where you can take a break by the lake. It continues through Vlkova, Abrahámovce, Spišský Štvrtok, and Hrabušice all the way to Podlesok, the gateway to Slovak Paradise. On the way back, we recommend stopping at the manor house in Spišský Štiavnik and returning along the forest path to Kvetnica. Then, follow the pleasant bike path back to historic Spišská Sobota.

The route begins at Beňovský Apartments in historic Spišská Sobota and leads through Matejovce, Veľká Lomnica, historic Kežmarok, and Spišská Belá toward Červený Kláštor (Red Monastery). Along the way, you’ll find several places to grab a bite to eat and rest. The final stretch of the route follows a beautiful paved bike path along the Dunajec River in the Pieniny National Park, which extends all the way to the Polish border and offers some of the most beautiful cycling views in Slovakia.

The route begins at Beňovský Apartments in historic Spišská Sobota and leads through Stará Lesná to Tatranská Lomnica, where you can enjoy a variety of attractions and refreshments. It continues along Freedom Road to Tatranská Kotlina and the famous Belianska Cave. The return trip features a pleasant descent along a bike path through Spišská Belá and historic Kežmarok back to Poprad.
